St Mildred's in the community
St Mildred's is at the heart of the Addiscombe community. Its superb centre welcomes up to 2,000 visitors per week, from baby and children's groups to yoga, pilates and slimming clubs, as well as mental health and other charity outreach.

The centre is also the venue for St Mildred's Drop-in, a vital weekly resource where homeless and vulnerable people can meet, have a shower and hot meal, and get clothes, shoes and a haircut.

A large building with a very generous acoustic, the church is a superb concert venue, and hosts varied events ranging from solo recitals to choirs like Croydon Male Voice Choir and large ensembles such as the Central Band of the Royal British Legion.

St Mildred's itself boasts a superb choir of children and adults which forms the core of the musical offering for services. St Mildred's Choir also performs concerts and regularly sings services at cathedrals. In 2019 the choir recorded a Christmas album, Sing Choirs Of Angels.

During 2020 the choir has performed a number of Virtual Choir works, aiming to bring some joy into the community during lockdown.

In addition, a vibrant and accomplished Worship Band supports a less formal monthly service as well as other services and events through the year.
